Justine Jacob

Justine Jacob is an experienced entertainment attorney, filmmaker, and media executive with more than two decades of experience in film, television, and creative rights management. She most recently served as Partner and Co-Founder of Focus Media Law Group, where she advised filmmakers, producers, and media companies on contracts, business affairs, and entertainment law. Prior to launching the firm, she was a partner at Blyth, Lee & Jacob and an attorney with Blyth, Lee & Associates, representing primarily independent filmmakers and documentary creators.

Earlier in her career, Jacob worked directly in film production as a director and producer with Ensemble Pictures, where she directed and produced the films Runners High (2006) and Ready, Set, Bag! (2008). Her combined experience as both a filmmaker and attorney provides a practical understanding of the creative and operational challenges facing artists and media organizations. She also served on the board of LUNAFEST (LUNA/Clif Bar), supporting women filmmakers and mission-driven storytelling. Jacob holds a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Jacob is connected to the Olympic Valley community and supports the work of the Olympic Valley Foundation, where she serves as a special advisor to the board. In this role, she contributes her legal, governance, and media expertise to help advance community-centered initiatives and long-term projects that support the vitality of Olympic Valley and the greater Tahoe region.
