Wes Pyatt

Wes Pyatt is the Senior Manager of the Freeride Department at Palisades Tahoe and an original board member of Tahoe Freeride, the 501(c)(3) fueling competitive freeride skiing and snowboarding in the region.

Wes launched his coaching journey back in 2007 as the Head Coach for the Alpine Meadows snowboard team, where he quickly earned a reputation for sharp technical insight, positive vibes, and building athlete‑centered programs that made riders feel both confident and fired up. Nearly twenty years later, that same energy still drives his work as he leads program development, coach mentorship, and long‑game planning for freeride athletes.

Today, Wes oversees the strategy, operations, and coaching standards for the freeride program at Palisades Tahoe. He’s known for developing strong teams, leveling up training environments, and keeping athlete safety and progression at the core of every decision.

Wes is excited to join the Olympic Valley Foundation, where he looks forward to supporting community projects that expand youth/adult ski and snowboard opportunities and keep the spirit of Olympic Valley thriving for the next generation
